Studying abroad

Moving to the U.S. to study was one of the biggest decisions I’ve ever made. I’m originally from Argentina, and even though I was super excited, I was also nervous. I had no idea what to expect, new country, new language, new people, new everything.

Slowly, I started to adjust. I met people who were also far from home, and that helped a lot. I also learned how to do things on my own; from managing my schedule to figuring out how to cook, to learning how to move around the Richmond.

What I didn’t expect was how much I’d grow. I became more confident, more open, and honestly, more myself. I started seeing things differently, especially when it comes to fashion and creativity. Living abroad made me curious about how different cultures express style, and it totally changed the way I look at design, trends, and communication.

My Summer in Europe.

Spending the summer in Milan was a dream come true. As someone who studies fashion and loves everything about design, culture, and storytelling, being in one of the world’s fashion capitals felt like the perfect place to be. But what made it special wasn’t just the fashion, it was everything else that came with it.

Milan also taught me how to slow down and enjoy the little thing. It’s a city that makes you fall in love with details, and that really influenced the way I think about my own work and creativity.

I also met people from all over the world! That energy stayed with me. It reminded me that being in fashion isn’t just about clothes. It’s about culture, identity, and how we connect with the world.

Growing Through Culture.

Traveling and studying abroad pushed me to be more independent, but also more collaborative. It made me value where I come from while being open to change. It taught me that culture is something we live and experience every day.

Looking back, I’m really proud of everything I’ve done. Studying abroad isn’t just about school; it’s about life. It teaches you how to figure things out, how to connect with people, and how to believe in yourself, even when everything feels unfamiliar.
